When you shine I shine

Teacher — it’s who I am and what I do.

I began teaching when I was 15 years old. I’ve been teaching ever since (that’s a long time). I’ve taught figure skating and Rollerblading, high impact aerobics, step aerobics, and even hip-hop aerobics. I’ve taught strength training, HIIT training and for a brief period I taught The Slide (remember that?) And then of course there’s yoga and meditation. I teach people to speed up and slow down, to challenge boundaries and to let go. Most of all, I teach people daily bodymind practices and I teach people to commit to them.

I teach — it’s who I am and what I do and I won’t ever, ever stop.

Here’s why.

I teach because:

  • You are worth it
  • I believe in your potential to make our world better
  • I see your brilliance even if you don’t
  • I want you to feel great too
  • I want you to trust your natural genius
  • When you shine, I shine
  • It’s more fun to dance together than to throw tomatoes at each other
  • When you feel empowered, I feel empowered
  • Sharing my journey to serve yours is why I’m here
  • When you turn on light bulbs, I feel ecstatic
  • When you wake up, I feel fully alive
  • I cannot not teach
  • I don’t know what else I’d do

I teach to inspire you to:

  • Believe your life is priceless
  • Remind you that you can’t get this time back
  • Trust yourself more
  • Wake up to what’s not working in your life
  • Enhance what is working
  • Listen to your gut
  • Create a magnificent life experience

Most importantly, I teach because the world needs you to be your best self — like right now — and if I can support you in some small way to live fully and fearlessly so that you rub off on the rest of us, then I will have done my job as a teacher — for today.
